Current Works at the UWF Art Gallery, the first exhibition of student work curated by a student (at least to my knowledge). I had very short notice in putting this exhibition together but I got a great response from students and the attendees of the Building Creative Futures workshop really enjoyed the work. The exhibition was designed to showcase the different mediums that are taught at UWF’s Department of Art as well as the currents that flow through the art community here. Art schools are just that: Communities, we learn from each other build on each other’s skills and knowledge and feed off of the international currents in the art industry, in addition to the guidance our professors bestow upon us.
